“I was looking for love of all different types and representations. There were so many submissions [so it was] hard to choose,” Owen shared with People.com. Included among the submissions is a heartwarming clip from three-time major championship winner and former world #1 ranked PGA professional golfer Jordan Spieth.
“The song means something different to each person but still resonates with them in some way, and we wanted to represent that. We wanted to feel like people saw themselves in the story, because when they adopt it to their own narrative, it becomes part of their story in their lives too,” Owen added.
Featured by Billboard, Music Row and Rolling Stone, the song that “…celebrates every milestone we’re expected to go through once we find the one…” (Billboard) has garnered an impressive 32 MILLION on-demand streams in the U.S. to date and is currently climbing the Country radio charts. “Made For You” is featured on Owen’s critically-acclaimed album GREETINGS FROM…JAKE (Big Loud Records) and follows “Homemade,” – which marked his eighth career #1 in the U.S. and sixth #1 in Canada – chart-topping smash “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” and Platinum-certified, ACM-nominated hit “Down To The Honkytonk.”
GREETINGS FROM…JAKE highlights Owen’s traditional Country influences and his Floridian roots. The album has amassed over 136 MILLION on-demand streams in the U.S. to date, and was celebrated with performances on NBC’s “Today,” and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. People.com shared, “Owen has let his inner Merle come out to play…” Billboard dubbed it “…country-grounded odyssey,” The Tennessean lauded, ‘…the album drips steel guitar and hit country songs…” and Sounds Like Nashville called it “…a breath of fresh air…”
