Nashville, Tenn. – Country singer-songwriter, Jake Ward, is celebrating his 4th consecutive #1 single on Texas radio with “Not Too Far to Reach” as it tops Texas Regional Radio Report.  “Not Too Far to Reach” was written by Jake Ward, Mark Addison Chandler, and Davis Corley and was produced by Mason Shirley (Sound Machine Studio, Corpus Christi, TX). The song was inspired by his wife and is the first single off the four-track EP of the same title, which was released in October 2017 and is available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.

Two years ago, the Texas Music Pickers called Jake Ward the “#1 best-kept secret on the Texas and red dirt music scene.” With four consecutive #1’s, over one million streams on Spotify, and his knack for blending classic country music with contemporary rock, Ward is quickly earning a name as one of the hottest rising stars in Texas.

Ward is currently spending time in Nashville writing new music. He is also actively touring in Texas with his band. The 25-year-old Corpus Christi-native and his young band are known for their high-energy live shows and have shared the bill with some of the biggest names in Texas including Aaron Watson, Chris Young, Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Cody Johnson, Kevin Fowler, Stoney Larue, Roger Creager, Reckless Kelly, Whiskey Myers, Kyle Park, and William Clark Green.

Ward’s next single off the same EP is titled, “Where the Wind Blows” and will be released in the spring of 2018.
