Jam In The Trees Kicks Off This Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. —This Friday, acclaimed festival Jam In The Trees returns to Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain, North Carolina; in addition to a diverse two-day musical lineup and unforgettable fan experiences, festival goers will have access to award-winning Pisgah beer, on-site food trucks, unique vendors, and local artisans. This year’s roster includes legendary artists The Travelin’ McCourys, Jerry Douglas, Shooter Jennings, Elizabeth Cook, Gangstagrass, and Jim Lauderdale, and ever popular artists The Steel Wheels, Lindi Ortega, Fireside Collective, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, The Slocan Ramblers, Jane Kramer, and Andy Buckner.

Following tradition, Jam in the Trees will host music on both an indoor and outdoor stage, and will strategically schedule artists so that there are no overlapping sets. Friday night’s lineup will kick off with songstress Jane Kramer at 8 p.m., followed by bluegrass/hip-hop fusion Gangstagrass, and epically closed out with popular Asheville locals Fireside Collective.

Saturday’s lineup kicks off on the outdoor stage with 1940s-style bluegrass band The Po’ Ramblin Boys at 1 p.m., followed by performances from Canadian bluegrass band Slocan Ramblers, dobro master and 14-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas, energetic, crowd favorites The Steel Wheels, country royalty Shooter Jennings, and bluegrass legends The Travelin’ McCourys. Performances on the indoor stage will start at 1:45 p.m. with soulful, North Carolina-based songwriter Andy Buckner, followed by critically-acclaimed trio The Stray Birds, outlaw country queen Elizabeth Cook, and closed out by Americana legend Jim Lauderdale.

The beloved, high-energy After Hours Jam will also take place Saturday night on the indoor stage. The delicious list of food vendors boasts favorites like Mountain View BBQ, D.O.G.S., Grateful Roots, Root Down, a Lemonade stand, a kettle corn vendor, and Sunshine Sammies’ legendary ice cream sandwiches. Craft vendors for the 2018 festival include Asheville Screen Printing, who will press and print festival t-shirts on demand in front of festival attendees. This year’s VIP experience will include a guided brewery tour and tasting, and meet & greets with headliners Elizabeth Cook, Jim Lauderdale, Jerry Douglas, and The Travelin’ McCourys.
