NEW EP IN IT FOR THE MONEY MET WITH CRITICAL ACCLAIM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Columbia Nashville/River House Artists rising star Jameson Rodgers is celebrating RIAA Platinum certification for his No. 1 debut single “Some Girls,” signifying sales exceeding 1 million units.

The track has earned more than 184 million on-demand streams and ranked No. 17 on Billboard’s 2020 year-end Country Airplay Songs chart. Label, management, and publishing executives surprised Rodgers with the news Friday at The Listening Room in Nashville ahead of his two sold-out Jameson Rodgers & Friends benefit performances and livestream.

Featuring special guests Carly Pearce, Jimmie Allen, Jordan Davis, and Tenille Townes, one hundred percent of ticket proceeds from Jameson Rodgers & Friends will benefit Music Venue Alliance-Nashville. Additionally, Rodgers will make the first donation from his newly-established The Neighborhood Fund through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to the organization, which is working to ensure no Nashville independent music venue closes its doors permanently due to COVID-19.

“2020 and 2021 have been extremely difficult for all kinds of businesses and individuals. I wanted to make sure that I was doing my part and giving back to organizations that I feel align with my principles, which is to leave this world a better place than I found it,” said Rodgers. “I’m excited to establish The Neighborhood Fund which will give me and my fans an outlet to partner with organizations that we believe in and that are helping struggling individuals and businesses. I can’t wait to see all the good work we do through this fund over the years!”

Also on Friday, Rodgers released his new EP In It for the Money, which has been met with early critical acclaim. Billboard commended the “affable” collection while The Courier Mail applauded “the throbbing title track…replete with scorching guitar breaks.” Off the Record proclaimed, “this is an artist that you should bet your money on right now,” LYRIC Magazine echoed, “this is a terrific EP and serves as the perfect introduction to an artist that, quite clearly, has a big future, not only as a writer, but now as a performer too,” and Entertainment Focus declared Rodgers, “a Country artist who could very well explode and become the next big thing.”
