Jason Aldean’s Road to Stardom Profiled In “Breaking Big” Documentary On PBS

NASHVILLE, TN — Three-time and reigning ACM “Entertainer of the Year” Jason Aldean offered PBS an in-depth look at his journey to superstardom through PBS/OZY Media’s new primetime documentary series BREAKING BIG. The compelling half-hour special includes up close and personal interviews with Aldean from his home and studio near Nashville, with family and friends, journalists and experts who all share the story on how Aldean’s childhood dreams turned into selling out the nation’s largest stadiums. The path paved by his wide-open sure-footed approach has defined the genre’s 21st century including more than 15 million total album sales and countless recognition from the GRAMMYs, ACMs, CMAs, BBMAs, People’s Choice Awards and more. But, success doesn’t come without obstacles, and Aldean’s setbacks prove to be a combination of hard work, perseverance and risk-taking made him one of the most dominant artist in music.

In Breaking Big, host Carlos Watson explores how some of the world’s most influential artists, innovators, athletes and leaders pushed, prodded and cajoled the big breaks that would make their careers, while renowned social psychologists connect the dots. This series traces the unusual paths to success followed by twelve talented men and women: from Trevor Noah, to Oscar-winning director Lee Daniels and chef and restauranteur Eddie Huang, to former FOX anchor Gretchen Carlson – all who overcame nearly insurmountable obstacles and long odds to reach and reimagine their own potential and, ultimately, to break big.
