Nashville, TN – Country singer/songwriter Jillian Cardarelli releases her new single, “If You Had A Heart.” Cardarelli says she was drawn to the song, written by Alex Kline, Erin Enderlin, Liz Hengber and Kellys Collins, because she loves the vintage country sound and lyrics. In addition, she realizes there is certainly some humor to the timing of her releasing a sad country song while she’s planning her wedding.
“It’s a little ironic to be releasing this song now because I’m so excited to be marrying the man of my dreams in just a few months,” said Cardarelli. “But ever since I was little girl, I have loved sad country songs. So, when my producer, Alex Kline, sent over this song, I immediately fell in love with it. Heartbreak is something we’ve all been through and I hope this song can give anyone who is mending a broken heart some strength.”
“If You Had A Heart” is released on the heels of her success with the single, “STRONG” featuring actor/artist Charles Esten (ABC’s NASHVILLE and Netflix’s Outer Banks) that released late last year to critical acclaim. Cardarelli and Esten co-wrote the song, inspired by Jillian’s mother’s battle with cancer, that was recognized as one of 2020’s Most Powerful Songs by American Songwriter.
“If You Had a Heart,” was produced by prominent female producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex Kline, who has successful cuts with such artists as Reba, Tenille Arts, Ronnie Dunn, Terri Clark, Mitchell Tenpenny as well as produced albums for Tenille Arts, Terri Clark, Stephanie Quale, Tara Thompson, Erin Enderlin and more.
“If You Had A Heart,” is available now on Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora and more; along with the music video available now on her YouTube Channel and at CMT.com.
