Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville native and country music recording artist Jim Brown follows up the recent release of the title single from his That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout EP with his new video, “E-I-E-I-O,”a rockin’ tribute to country living. The video is set to premiere exclusively Friday, May 17 at 10 AM CST with Center Stage Magazine; find them online here and to be the first to catch its digital debut.

The single, after only two weeks at radio, has already broken into the MusicRow Breakout Chart and is available at digital outlets and all music-streaming services.

The video, directed by Lance Goodman (George Strait, Josh Turner, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Rascal Flatts, Justin Moore), is a glance at life in rural Tennessee, quite literally, as we are taken to favorite locations found in Coffee County, TN and through the stories found in the lyrics; additional sites in Ashland City and a street dance in Franklin add to a celebration of “the simple life.”

It’s what I’ve always known…the country and country music,” says Brown. “I grew up right here in Tennessee, fishin’ in a creek out behind Jerry’s place as a kid.” Jim’s “Jerry” is the acclaimed Jerry Chesnut, celebrated Nashville songwriter of hits like “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” [Elvis Presley] and “Good Year for the Roses” [George Jones]). “As far as I knew, how I grew up was how everybody grew up; I kinda wish it was sometimes…which is why this song really hit home for me.”

Charlie Allen, one of the writers for “E-I-E-I-O,” describes the idea for the song as a reflection of having grown up in Manchester, Tennessee; he shares his pride of being raised with gravel roads, eating at the local Jiffy Burger, and all the tricks of coming up “in the sticks.”

Written by Allen along with Stephen Mark Pasch (Dove Award nominee for “Album of the Year”), Brian Gene White (2007 Most Played Country Song for Rodney Atkins’ “Watching You”) and Rory Bourke (multiple “Best Country Song” Grammy nominee), the new single fits Brown like an old pair of boots … covered with well-worn attitude and the fresh dirt of hometown youth.

Brown is excited to share his new music live with his growing audience. Following his recent performance at the 2019 Country Fest in conjunction with iHeartRadio in Port Charlotte, Florida, Brown looks forward to his first stadium performance at the Southern Grand Slam with Darryl Worley, Billy Dean, and the Tobacco Road Band at the Charlotte Sports Complex on July 6.

In addition to the release of the new EP, That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout, Brown has also recently joined country artist John Schneider, (“Bo Duke” of The Dukes of Hazzard), and a host of other celebrities (Tanya Tucker, John Conlee, Heidi Newfield, Jamie O’Neal, Collin Raye among others) for the re-recording of the classic theme song, “Good Ol’ Boys.” The song, written by Waylon Jennings, is now available online; funds raised from the single benefit Jenning’s diabetes foundation.
