Josh Abbott Band Celebrates One Year Anniversary For Charity Organization
Dallas, TX — Josh Abbott Band’s charitable organization JAB Cares will host a fundraiser for the Brotherhood for the Fallen at the band’s Saturday, October 21st show at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX. “Dallas Love” T-shirts will be for sale (shirts created in collaboration with Tumbleweed TexStyles).
Brotherhood for the Fallen’s mission is to honorably attend the services of Fallen Officers across the United States & Canada who have made the ultimate sacrifice, giving his/her life during the performance of their duties, by providing safety for citizens. They will raise money to attend the services to give support to the families, department, and communities, and also to provide the family with a monetary donation. http://brotherhooddallastx.org
JAB Cares also recently celebrated the organizations one-year anniversary. Since its formation, JAB Cares has raised funds for hurricane relief as well as the DFW metroplex alongside an organization called Win The Day that supports kids in the community of Celina, TX developing important life skills through participation in athletics.
In the wake of Harvey, JAB Cares raised over $65,000 in hurricane relief. The first annual Victory Bells Tournament took place in Lubbock, TX on September 11th and grossed over $100,000 for three organizations: the Jennie Bailey Endowment at Texas Tech, The Luke Siegel Foundation and New Hope Mission for Haiti. Josh Abbott Band recently released their new album Until My Voice Goes Out to rave reviews and performed on the national television show Fox & Friends. JAB is now on the road in support of the album with a horns and string sections.
