NASHVILLE, Tenn. – This weekend, ACM Award nominee Kane Brown wrapped his multi-city headlining arena “Live Forever Tour” with his official debut performance at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In a history-making debut, Brown played to a ticketed audience of 75,126 fans on Saturday, March 9, earning the “breakthrough artist” (Associated Press ) the biggest country artist debut in Houston Rodeo history and the Top 15th evening overall in paid attendance ever for the event. In a milestone moment for the 25-year-old entertainer, Brown also received a surprise plaque presented by Chairman Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Jim Winne, and Joel Cowley, President/CEO Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, commemorating the official 4X Platinum certification of his No. 1 hit, “Heaven.” “Heaven”s 4X Platinum status follows Brown’s earlier certification of his chart-topping single “What Ifs” as 4X Platinum, and makes Brown one of only five country artists to achieve multiple 4X Platinum singles (others include Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, and Taylor Swift). Also nominated for Single of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards and for Country Song of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, “Heaven” was Country’s most-played airplay hit of 2018.

A lifelong fan of the Rodeo, the milestone was particularly meaningful to Brown, who often sites memories of his childhood playing rodeo with his grandfather and great grandfather, both honored in Brown’s self-titled debut album through his songs “Coldspot” and “Granddaddy’s Chair.”

Brown’s performance at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo officially wrapped his national sold-out arena headlining tour, where Brown partnered with The Boys & Girls Club in each market to offer an exclusive VIP experience and meet and greet with local members. Noted by the New York Times as “one of Nashville’s most promising young stars and also one of its most flexible,” the three-time AMA winner continued to earn accolades as a bone-fide entertainer nationwide:

Earlier in the week (3/5) Brown celebrated his inclusion in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s “American Currents” exhibit, where his wardrobe from his first American Music Awards—the evening he won 3 AMAs (Country Song, Best Country Album, Best Country Artist— is currently on display. Brown was also featured by the Country Music Hall of Fame last year, beside one of his idols and mentors, Randy Travis.

With his No. 1 Billboard 200 release EXPERIMENT, Brown became the only male country artist in more than 24 years to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and only one of three country artists to top the Billboard 200 chart in all of 2018. The New York Times listed EXPERIMENT as one of its Top 10 Best Albums of the year. Brown first topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with the release of his self-titled debut album (2016) and again with the release of KANE BROWN Deluxe Edition (2017), which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top 5 on Billboard 200 charts. With his debut album, Brown made history by becoming the first artist to top all five Billboard Country Charts with his breakthrough No. 1 Top Country Album; No. 1 debuting Country Digital Song, the 4X Platinum “Heaven”; and No. 1 Country Airplay, Hot Country Song and Country Streaming Song, the 4X Platinum “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina.
