Binghamton, New York. November 22, 2025. Last Night at Touch of Texas, we were treated to one of those rare country-music nights that felt both intimate and electric—where talent, heart, and unexpected moments came together in the best possible way.
The evening opened with a surprise gem: Steven Cali. With a rustic, rough-edged voice and a rock-leaning style, Cali set the tone quickly. His band was tight, energetic, and completely dialed in. He was the perfect opener for Kelsey Hart—gritty, bold, and a compelling contrast to Hart’s melodic country style.
But the second Kelsey Hart stepped on stage, the room shifted.
Having interviewed Kelsey before seeing him perform, my initial impression of him was that he was quiet, soft-spoken, and humble. But something happens when he hits the stage. He transforms. What begins as a modest presence becomes high-voltage energy, dynamic crowd connection, and a performer who leaves everything up there.
A Night Full of Connection and Surprises
One of the standout moments came when Hart invited a couple onstage—a couple who danced to one of his songs at their wedding and featured it in their wedding video. Kelsey gave them the first opportunity to dance to that same song live, right there under the lights. The crowd instantly fell into a hush, then applause. It was a beautiful full-circle moment that showed exactly why fans love him.
Hart kept this level of connection going all night. He moved through the crowd, shaking hands, fist-bumping fans, and at one point even stealing the hat off a fan who was wearing his merch. He spotted a woman celebrating her 25th birthday and took a birthday shot with her onstage, making her night unforgettable.
The Fruit Snacks Moment
A highlight for me came when I handed him a small gift during the show: fruit snacks. It was an inside joke, that those close to Kelsey know, and was sparked during our July Fast Tracks interview, when Kelsey revealed that fruit snacks were his pre-show go-to. The moment he saw the bag, he burst out laughing, the crowd joined in, and it instantly became a shared, joyful moment between Kelsey, me and the audience.
He Didn’t Leave Until the Last Fan Was Seen
After the show, Kelsey didn’t hide backstage or rush out. Instead, he stayed until every single fan who wanted a photo or autograph got one. That commitment matters—and it shows. My husband and I even had him sign our arms, which we’ll be turning into tattoos tomorrow. Because when an artist gives his whole heart onstage—and then stays late to give even more offstage—you want to honor that.

From Steven Cali’s explosive opener to Hart’s electrifying performance, Touch of Texas was buzzing with energy, emotion, and genuine connection. Kelsey Hart continues to prove that he’s an artist with not only vocal power and stage presence, but a rare ability to make every fan feel like they matter.
