Country-rock powerhouse Josh Gallagher has officially signed with Kobalt Music.
A long-awaited victory for Gallagher, the magnitude of garnering the support of one of the largest publishing companies in the world isn’t lost on him.
“Anyone who’s been in this town long enough gets used to hearing ‘no'” Gallagher shares, “or worse, not hearing anything at all. So, after years of high hopes turning into letdowns, when someone—the right someone—finally says ‘yes,’ every bad day becomes worth it. And for a company like Kobalt to be that someone for me is an absolute honor.”
The Pennsylvania native caught the ear of Kobalt Creative Manager Morgan Brasfield, and Gallagher quickly became a shared interest amongst the rest of the Nashville-based team.
“I knew I wanted to work with Josh from the first time I saw him play,” says Brasfield. “His talent is undeniable and I’m so excited to keep building his career both as a songwriter and an artist.”
Many fans of Josh Gallagher remember him as the first country artist coach Adam Levine had ever led to the finale on Season 11 of The Voice, and that feat alone speaks to his [Gallagher’s] tendency to defy any and all expectations.
Independently, Gallagher has celebrated multiple #1 videos on CMT, earned millions of streams across his catalog, explored partnerships with global brands such as Groove Life, Orange Amps, Realtree and Natural Light, along with landing features in Billboard, Rolling Stone and beyond.
“This has become so much bigger than just my dream,” Gallagher states, “my wife and I welcomed our first kid—a baby boy—back in March, and I can’t wait to tell him about this moment when he’s old enough to understand. I can’t wait to see what the future looks like, and I have no doubt that Kobalt is right team to get me wherever I’m meant to be.”
