Acclaimed Show Dog Nashville recording artist, singer-songwriter Krystal Keith has two records including her 2018 five-song EP, Boulder, that features the hit “Anyone Else,” and highlights Keith’s range as a vocalist, writer and artist, from the expansive title track and cinematic “Then It Started Raining” to the energy and fun of “I Got You” and “Resting Beach Face.” Boulder follows Krystal’s celebrated debut album Whiskey & Lace, which includes “Daddy Dance With Me,” the surprise gift she recorded for her father, Toby Keith, and first played for him at her wedding. Krystal co-wrote the song with Mica Roberts and Sonya Rutledge. She notes: “I wanted a song that honored my dad and was something special on my wedding day. So I wrote and recorded it behind his back. The idea was to have a song that no bride and father had ever danced to before; it was my gift to him. I didn’t know that he calls me ‘baby girl’ sometimes to other people, but Mica told me and we put in the line that says, ‘Today I became his wife, but I’ll be your baby girl for life. He actually talked all the way through the dance – I think he was kind of in shock that I pulled one over on him. When I started telling him the lyrics, he said, ‘I’ve never heard a wedding song from the daughter’s perspective.’ I am so excited it’s out there so other brides and dads can dance to it, too. But we were the first. It’s a special song for us.”
