The Trio Launched Album With Intimate Impromptu Set Friday in Nashville
NASHVILLE, TN – Multi-PLATINUM trio Lady Antebellum “cement their place as legends of country” (Vulture) with the global release of their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Records Nashville), available now. Between CMA Music Festival activities, national television appearances and an intimate radio set, Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott put their fans at the forefront. Beginning yesterday (6/09) they took over The Budweiser Dome presented by Rated Red in Nashville (8th Ave. S/McGavock St @ 3:45P) for an impromptu set accompanied by a massive 360-degree visual experience.
Following Saturday’s (6/10) performance at CMA Music Festival‘s Nissan Stadium, Lady A will trek to New York City where they will kick off next week with a performance of their Top 15 hit single “You Look Good” on Good Morning America (6/12 at 8:30A ET on ABC), before a performance and Q&A live from the iHeartRadio Theater NY (iHeartRadio stations broadcast 8P local time on 6/12). On Tuesday (6/13), the trio brings a “burst with refreshed energy” (Entertainment Weekly) with the new album’s title track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (6/13 at 11:35P ET on NBC). Additionally, fans can tune-in to CBS This Morning (6/15 on CBS at 8:00A ET) to go behind the scenes of HEART BREAK’s album launch, as host Gayle King sits down with the band in Nashville.
Fans and media alike immediately applauded the album’s lead single for mixing a “dazzling horn section with a swaggering bass riff” (Associated Press) and “snappy funk drums” (LA Times). As HEART BREAK’s “growth is both welcome and worth celebrating now more than ever” (Billboard), critics continue to rave about the 13-tracks, before the albums official release.
“In this batch of songs, Lady A embraces the contrast between the outlook on age that’s often defined country music in the past (acknowledging the struggles, pleasures and sacrifices of settled adulthood) and one that’s risen to prominence in recent years (celebrating youthful freedom).” – NPR
“The new set’s 13 tracks burst with refreshed energy.” – Entertainment Weekly
“HEART BREAK doesn’t look likely to be a rehashing of old successes, as funky new single “You Look Good” sounds unlike anything they’ve done before” – Rolling Stone
“The approach the group took in making HEART BREAK achieved the goal of bringing freshness to the project. The R&B groove of ‘You Look Good,’ the soulful sound of ‘Good Time to be Alive’ and the sing-along ‘oh-oh-we-oh’ vocal hook that gives ‘This City’ a contemporary pop dimension are among the new twists. But there are also songs like the ballads ‘Somebody Else’s Heart’ and ‘Big Love In A Small Town’ that will be like musical comfort food for fans familiar with Lady Antebellum’s back catalog.” – The Sacramento Bee
“HEART BREAK represents both an evolution and return to form for the group, whose gift for modern country torch songs is on display in ‘Somebody Else’s Heart.’ The bouncy ‘This City’ brightens things up, showing off the band’s sprightly side.” – The Californian
“The title track is hands down my favorite; it’s not about a ruined romance, but rather putting your heart on pause” – O! Magazine
“From ‘Good Time to Be Alive’ to ‘Home,’ the trio’s latest set of songs returns to their roots.” – Huffington Post
HEART BREAK follows more than 18 million units, seven GRAMMY awards, nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row, and countless other honors including Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards.
