New York, NY – Country singer-songwriter Lauren Davidson isn’t looking for answers with the release of her new single “I Don’t Need Your Reason.” The track is the sixth and second to last offering from her upcoming EP, “Hindsight Is 2020”.
“Hindsight Is 2020” is a collection of songs and stories that highlight various snapshots of what Lauren was feeling and personally experiencing throughout the past year during the pandemic. Previous singles from this EP, which is set to release November 19th, include “Live In The Light,” “Backfire,” “Thinking About You,” “Silver Linings” and “A Little Love”.
Blending New York City vibes with the rich tones of contemporary country music, Lauren Davidson has created a genre all her own, and audiences and critics just can’t get enough. Back in full force she has recently opened for some of the biggest names in country music including Chase Rice, Chris Janson and Country Music Legend – Willie Nelson in addition to creating her own mini festival Urban Country Jam which has hit NJ, Boston and soon NYC.
“Ill never forget the day I wrote this song with Tommy Cole. It was the first time we had seen each other face to face since the pandemic had hit and we were playing catch up. I had recently gone through a breakup and he was asking me a bunch of questions as I cut him off and said – I don’t need a reason. He stopped in his tracks and said we’re going to write that right now and we did. I’m definitely someone who likes closure in every scenario and we don’t always get that – actually we rarely often do and I got to process that through writing this song that day. Music truly does heal.”
