Nashville, TN – Breakout TikTok star Leah Marie Mason brings back cinematic music videos with her visual for her latest single “I Wish,” today. The single debuted on August 6th and premiered on Cowgirl Magazine. “I Wish” follows Mason’s successes with “Far Boy” and “Love Isn’t Real” with Kidd G.
Listen to “I Wish” here.
Like many of her country superstar counterparts, Mason is well-versed in unleashing her emotions through her lyrics, but she is also skilled in executing visuals that encompass her music’s message. “I Wish” is a classic tale of a love story without a happy ending. Despite her romantic outlook on life, Mason is forced to face the fact that all her positive memories of her past love are now laid in front of her in a book entitled “Our Story.”
As Mason travels back to the scenes of love long gone, she sees flashbacks of what she lost as she tries desperately to cling to the decision to wish the best for the boy that broke her heart. From the empty aisles of a supermarket to the stunning backdrop of North Carolina waterways, Mason perfectly captures the yearning of a young woman’s heart.
Always choosing to be authentic, the music video concludes with Mason wishing the best for the one that got away and returning the book that holds all their good memories rather than holding onto it. “I Wish” is a whimsical yet grounded story that audiences know so well, but Mason’s music video is easy to watch several times just to catch the small details- the notes alongside photos captured in “Our Story,” the records Mason sorts through at a record store, and the moment Mason sits at a fountain with a coin she can’t bring herself to wish on. With more music and accompanying videos coming soon, Leah Marie Mason is proving herself a bona fide superstar with the charisma to take her far.
