Nashville, Tenn.– Leanne Pearson captures the feelings of first-time motherhood in her new single, “Little Man” – out now. The artistic music video brings the lyrics to life through interpretive dance. The song and video are now available worldwide to watch and listen to here.
Written solely by Pearson, “Little Man” explains the real questions and anticipations that come along with pregnancy in a soulfully beautiful melody. Overall, pregnancy has been an emotional journey for Pearson. At 37-weeks pregnant, she contracted COVID and has been in and out of the hospital since to monitor her and the baby’s health. However, despite her difficulties, Pearson has been documenting her journey on social media to share positivity and empowerment.
Talking about the track’s inspiration, Pearson explains, “Songwriting is amazing and powerful! I get to share my life in real-time through music. When you are pregnant, you already have so many questions. Now pregnant with COVID so close to delivery, there are so many more questions. This song was released at the exact moment that it needed to be released! When I was in bed struggling to breathe on release day, hearing this song at that moment brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait to meet this Little Man, and I hope he is happy and healthy!”
Over the years, Leanne Pearson has had 4 Top 100 songs on Canadian Country Radio and 1 Top 50. She also recently had a #1 video on The Country Network in the US.
In 2019, her album Pull It Off won Album of the Year at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards. That same year, she won Music Video of the Year for her single, “Hot Pursuit,” and a year before, in 2018, she won Female Artist of the Year.
In tandem with her music career, Pearson has experienced a lot of cause for celebration in her personal life these past few years. In 2019, Pearson and her husband, Jordan, renovated their Nashville home with the HGTV show Property Brothers. The entire episode put a spotlight on Pearson’s music career and her album Pull It Off. In 2020 they got married at an Elvis Chapel, and now in 2022 they are expecting the debut of their “Little Man.”
Together, Jordan and Pearson have been sharing comical videos on their socials of them trying to use strollers, car seats, etc., as they try to learn how to be first-time parents. Their honest and humble journey has been captivating Pearson’s followers, who now can’t wait to meet this “Little Man.”
