Lee Ann at AmericanaFest: Special Guests for Lee Ann and Friends show announced
+ new album Q&A at Country Music Hall of Fame Confirmed
“ambient, floating steel guitar glory” – VICE Noisey
On Tuesday (9/12), Lee Ann Womack released the latest cut from her forthcoming album ‘The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone’ (10/27, ATO), the shimmering and ghostly “Hollywood.” Written by Lee Ann, Adam Wright and Waylon Payne, the track poignantly portrays a relationship riddled with doubt and uncertainty.
Every time I ask you, you just say ‘we’re good’
Either I’m a fool for asking, or you belong in Hollywood
Vice Noisey said the track is filled with “ambient, floating steel guitar glory.” Listen here and feel free to share: noisey.vice.com/en_us/article/
Lee Ann will make several appearances at AmericanaFest this week, including her annual Lee Ann and Friends showcase at Music City Roots at the YeeHaw Tent on Thursday, September 14th at 9:10 PM. The event this year will feature special guests John Fulbright, Jamey Johnson, Amanda Shires, Jim Lauderdale, Adam Wright, Waylon Payne, David Ramirez, Andrew Combs and Secret Sisters. Lee Ann will also discuss her new album with journalist and author Peter Cooper and play a special stripped-down set at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Ford Theater on Saturday, September 16th at 2 PM.
Produced by her husband Frank Liddell (fresh off a 2017 ACM Album of the Year win for Miranda Lambert’s ‘The Weight of These Wings’) and largely recorded at the legendary SugarHill Studios in Houston, TX, ‘The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone’ features more Lee Ann Womack co-writes than all her previous albums combined, making it her most personal collection to date.
