Legendary Loretta Lynn Postpones Shows

Famed “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” Loretta Lynn, has been forced to cancel upcoming shows to have surgery stemming from a fall earlier this week.

The 84 year old was scheduled to perform at her ranch for her annual Labor Day show on Saturday, September 3rd – younger sister, country legend Crystal Gayle, took the stage without her. Reading a letter Loretta had written to fans, Gayle stated that Loretta had an injury to her chest and trying to take deep breaths to sing would be difficult.

According to her website, an official statement concluded that her injuries were not serious but that minor surgery would be needed.  Advice from her doctors have her sidelined at home to recover.

Shows up through the 17th have been postponed.  Keep checking her website for further information and updates.
