“For Me” Visualizer Video Released Simultaneously
Hummon hosts listening event for fans at Thistle Farms Café
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With 125 million on demand streams, Levi Hummon is releasing a new song entitled “For Me,” which is a breathtaking and raw piano ballad written by Hummon, Trannie Anderson, and awarding-winning songwriter Jimmy Robbins. The track is like no other song he has ever released. LISTEN HERE.
“’For Me’ is written as a love letter. It’s about me being willing to change not only for someone, but for myself,” Hummon says of his latest release. “The best kind of love is the love that inspires you to be a better human and a kinder soul. While I wanted to write this song for someone, I also wanted to write this song for Nashville and the people who have seen me grow up in this town. I’ve spent my entire life growing up in front of the industry and having just turned thirty, I wanted to show that musically and lyrically, I’ve grown up. The lines ‘Thinking that I’ll always be 18, and restless, the train-wreck everyone is still expecting’ really speak to that, and the song serves as a reminder to everyone that every young artist has the ability to grow, develop, learn, and change. It’s also a reminder for me.”
You can see just how deep Hummon’s talents go, from his emotional vocals to his ease at the grand piano, in the visualizer that accompanies the song WATCH HERE.
Thursday night, Levi celebrated the release of “For Me” by hosting a listening event for fans at Thistle Farms Café in Nashville, TN. Check it out HERE.
“For Me” is the follow-up to 2021 viral sensation collaboration with Walker Hayes, “Paying for It,” and “Bottled Up.” All three songs make up the first half of Hummon’s upcoming six-song EP, due out later this year.
Hummon made his imprint on the Nashville community long before he realized the extent of his craft. Born and raised in Music City, he was surrounded by music greats. A product of his environment, he was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Artists Breaking Now and Rolling Stone Country’s “One to Watch.”
Hummon has shared the stage with the likes of Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, Hunter Hayes, and he has exciting upcoming tour dates at SunFest on April 30th in West Palm Beach, FL, and the Blame My Roots country music festival July 15. Also, a dream come true performance for a Nashvillian, Levi will be part of the diverse line up on the Riverfront stage at the Let Freedom Sing! concert in downtown Nashville on July 4th.
Recently, Hummon performed at the Thistle Farms 25th Anniversary Gala. His mother, Becca Stevens (named a CNN Hero), is the founder of the women’s mission Thistle Farms. From a very young age, Hummon has maintained a sense of community service wherever he goes. “I’ve tried my whole life to be a global citizen,” he says, “not just a ‘Nashville Guy.’” And when Levi and his father, Marcus Hummon, got together with country songwriter Tom Douglas, they penned the acoustic ballad “Love Heals” that brings the Thistle Farms mantra to life. It is a poetic nod to everything the Hummon family does, knowing that love is the most powerful force for change in the world.
