NASHVILLE, TENN. – Powerhouse country vocalist Liv Charette just crossed 100,000 streams with her soaring debut single “That Kind of Song” and signed with The Artist Management Group for exclusive management representation.
“From the moment I heard ‘That Kind of Song,’ I knew it was something special,” Charette said. “It’s amazing to see this song take on a life of its own and to know that listeners have connected to it as much as I have.”
Written by Andrew Dorff and Barry Dean, “That Kind of Song” demands a vocal prowess and range so extraordinary that it took a decade for Charette’s producer Steve Dorff to find an artist able to deliver the thundering ballad. Steve Dorff, father to the late Andrew Dorff, said he immediately knew Charette’s voice was the right fit for the song.
“It’s a very special song, both musically and lyrically,” Steve Dorff told The Tennessean. “It’s relentless in its drive. From the opening moment of the song, it never stops.”
“Cowboys & Indians” debuted the video for “That Kind of Song” on Friday.
The Canadian-born singer/songwriter is represented by Adria DeLaune, a manager at The AMG, which was started by country music industry veterans Rob Beckham and Bill Simmons in 2019.
“When I heard Liv sing for the first time, I knew instantly that she was an artist I wanted to work with because of both her powerhouse vocals and her incredible ability to tell a story through her songs,” DeLaune said. “I am so proud of the success of her debut single, and I can’t wait to see what is to come for her.”
