Band Celebrates Milestone With Special Celebration Show
Set For This Friday Airing at 7:30pm CT Live From Garner, N.C.
Nashville, Tenn. – To say that Lorraine Jordan & Carolin Road’s title-track single from their latest album is a success would be an understatement. The band has even more reason to celebrate as “Bill Monroe’s Ol’ Mandolin” hits No. 1 on Bluegrass Unlimited’s National Bluegrass Survey for the month of October, becoming the band’s FOURTH cut to do so. The song tells the story of the night in 2018 when Bill Monroe’s world-famous instrument was played by Ricky Skaggs at the Country Music Hall of Fame at his own induction ceremony. Fans can download and stream the chart-topping single HERE.
“We’re all so happy with the success of this song” said an excited Lorraine Jordan. “When David Stewart brought this track to us, we just knew there was something special with its message that really tugs at the heartstrings. We’re glad to hear that so many people are liking it. Thanks to the DJs for spinning it, and fans who continue to request it.”
In celebration of the song’s rise to the top spot, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road are planning a very special show. Set to take place this Friday evening (October 9) at 7:30pm ET, the performance will take place in Garner, N.C. at Lorraine’s Coffee House & Music. Can’t make it to North Carolina? That’s no problem, the band is also inviting fans to be a part of the celebration online, as the show will also stream on Facebook via Lorraine’s Coffee House & Music page, along with the official Pinecastle Records FB page. During the event, Lorraine Jordan will host an event that will be filled with fun, surprises, plus performances of new material featured on the group’s latest album, Bill Monroe’s Ol’ Mandolin.
With “Bill Monroe’s Ol’ Mandolin” becoming their back-to-back single to top the chart following “True Grass,” the band is already beginning to write the story for the album’s second single. The Larry Nixon written track “They Call It Bluegrass” serves as the next release from the project. The hard-driving song has already begun to gain attention, debuting at No. 5 this week on Roots Music Report’s Contemporary Bluegrass Song Chart. Carolina Road also celebrated the release by unveiling the official video for the Scruggs-inspired cut, which has been seen over 100K times, and continues to grow.
