Nashville, TENN — Grand Ole Opry Star and multi-platinum selling artist, Lorrie Morgan, adds her voice to the choir honoring the music, life and legacy of Jimmy Buffett, the “tropical troubadour” who passed away overnight.
“I fell in love with Jimmy Buffett’s music when I was a young girl. I was learning to play guitar and I remember trying to learn to play ‘Come Monday,’ a song I love to this day. It seems he’s been a staple in my musical repertoire my entire life. Another time gone by, another great musician and songwriter joining the band in Heaven. God bless Jimmy Buffett. Thank you for your joyful legacy.”
A tribute on Buffett’s website reads: “Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many. Jimmy Buffett 1946-2023”
