First multi-week No. 1 single for a debut Country artist since Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise”
Combs readies This One’s For You release with SOLD OUT pop-up tour kicking off May 30th in Chicago
Nashville, Tenn. – River House Artists/Columbia Nashville’s breakthrough singer-songwriter Luke Combs firmly plants his roots into Country radio history this week as his GOLD certified smash-hit“Hurricane” reigns at No. 1 on both Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts for a second consecutive week. Topping the charts last week as the fastest debut artist to No. 1 at Country radio in two years, Combs smashes yet another record with “Hurricane” as the first debut artist to score a multi-week No.1 single at Country radio since Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” and first debut solo male to accomplish the feat since Darius Rucker with “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It” in 2008.
Adding touring fire to chart force, the “Hurricane” hit maker embarks on a whirlwind sold-out pop-up tour next week performing three back-to-back fan-centric shows to celebrate the release of his debut album This One’s For You on June 2. Returning to the cities, venues and fans that laid the foundation for his breakout success, Combs’ tour will land in Chicago on May 30, Nashville on May 31 and ends in the North Carolina native’s hometown of Asheville on June 1. Partnering with Jim Cantore and The Weather Channel, Combs is offering fans exclusive content, interactive experiences and a unique sweepstakes opportunity on TrackingLukeCombs.com.
Following his pop-up tour album celebration, the “artist to watch” (Billboard, Huffington Post, CMT, Pandora, Amazon Music) returns to the road on Brantley Gilbert’s Devil Don’t Sleep tour to kick off street week for This One’s For You. On June 7, Combs heads to Nashville for his first appearance at the CMT Music Awards as a nominee for BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO OF THE YEAR before performing at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival (June 8), Carolina Country Music Fest (June 9) and capping off the week back in Tennessee at the CMA Music Festival (June 10 & 11.)
