Emerging singer/songwriter Madysyn released her anticipated new single, “Girlfriend” today, Friday, February, 28th. The playful track was co-written by Logan Turner, Cali Rodi and Grammy-nominated writer and producer Ross Copperman, who has also written 21 no. 1 country singles (Luke Bryan “Strip It Down,” Kenny Chesney “Get Along,” Brett Eldredge “Beat of The Music”). “Girlfriend” serves as the perfect introduction to the genre for the powerhouse vocalist. Also produced by Copperman, “Girlfriend” premiered exclusively with Taste of Country. The anthemic single represents confidence and female empowerment which Madysyn hopes to share with listeners.
“‘Girlfriend’ is a feel good, but sassy song,” Madysyn shared with Taste of Country. “To me, I always feel empowered when listening and singing it. The confident message behind it is super relatable.”
“Girlfriend” expertly blends Madysyn’s pop influences with her soulful vocals and heart for country music. This release follows Madysyn’s hugely popular cover songs; her most recent cover, “Shallow” performed with Tyler Ward has accumulated over 16 million streams on Spotify alone. No stranger to sensational numbers, Madysyn was first discovered at age 12 after her father, comedian Jack Vale, shared a 36-second clip of Madysyn singing which garnered over 10 million views on Facebook. Madysyn’s star power also earned a spot on Lifetime’s 2017 reality series, The Pop Game, hosted by Grammy-award winning producer, Timbaland.
