Chesnutt Set For Grand Ole Opry Performance
and Signing Wednesday, July 13
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A six-year wait for new music from Mark Chesnutt came to a close on July 8th, as the aptly-titled Tradition Lives is now officially available on iTunes, Amazon, MarkChesnutt.com and in stores. The album, produced by Jimmy Ritchey and released by Row Entertainment, was recently named the Most Anticipated Album of July in a poll of country music fans on TheBoot.com.
As part of his busy schedule promoting the new album, Chesnutt will make a stop in Nashville on Wednesday, July 13 to appear on the Grand Ole Opry. Following the performance, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Tradition Lives and have it signed by Chesnutt in The Opry Shop beginning at 9:15 p.m. To purchase tickets, click here.
Beginning today, fans can watch Chesnutt describe his connection to several songs from Tradition Lives including “Is It Still Cheating,” which can be viewed exclusively on NASHCountryDaily.com. Written by Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and Jerrod Niemann, the track stays true to Chesnutt’s classic country and honky-tonk roots. He says of the song, “It’s an old time country music cheating song, and they’re hard to find these days, those songs like that.” Click here to view the clip.
Chesnutt also shares what makes the emotionally charged “Losing You All Over Again” stand out to him, exclusively on TheBoot.com. Hear his comments and read the interview by clicking here.
Keep an eye out for more track-by-track commentary coming soon to YouTube.com/MarkChesnuttTV, along with weekly installments of Chesnutt’s telling new video series, “Honky Tonk Monday.”
