Marty Stuart today confirms Steve Miller, Sheryl Crow, Dierks Bentley, and Tyler Childers to perform at his 18th Annual “Late Night Jam” at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, June 5th at 9pm CT. The event, in association with Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music, will take place during CMA’s Music Festival week and feature a hand-picked lineup of musicians and entertainers (with more to be announced). Tickets for Stuart’s “Late Night Jam” will go on sale this Friday, April 26th at 10:00am CT and can be purchased here.
Recently, Marty Stuart And His Fabulous Superlatives confirmed a tour with The Steve Miller Band. Stuart and his band will perform in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Salt Lake City (full dates below). Tickets for all dates are available here.
Marty Stuart released Way Out West on Superlatone on March 10, 2017, and MOJO named it one of their “Best Americana Albums of 2017.” The album was conceived as a love letter to the promised land of California by one of Country music’s living legends, who has played with everyone from Johnny Cash to Lester Flatt. NPR Music proclaims: “Way Out West is Marty Stuart’s album-length paean to the myth and magic of the American West. It finds country’s stalwart neo-traditionalist turning cosmic cowboy for a journey through the Joshua trees, shadowy canyons and desert dreams that tantalize travelers with the promise of a golden shore on the other side.” Way Out West is available on CD, vinyl, and digitally here.
Marty Stuart is a five-time GRAMMY-winner, platinum recording artist, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from the Americana Music Association, Grand Ole Opry star, country music archivist, photographer, musician, and songwriter. Since starting out singing gospel as a child, Stuart has spent over four decades celebrating American roots music. His teenage years on tour with bluegrass legend Lester Flatt in the ’70s were followed by six years in Johnny Cash’s band in the ’80s, and a chart-topping tenure as a solo artist in the ’90s. Stuart hosts a Late Night Jam at The Ryman, a yearly tradition which kicks off the CMA Music Festival, with recent guests including Dolly Parton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Neko Case, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris, Dan Auerbach and many more.
Pegged as “one of Country music’s most enviable brands, equal parts affability and authenticity” (Forbes), Dierks Bentley continues to be a dominant voice for the genre with over 8.6 billion overall digital streams and 18 No. One hits. Reaching a new creative high while “making music designed to challenge” (New York Times), Bentley co-wrote 10 of 13 tracks on THE MOUNTAIN, which earned him the highest debut sales of his career and became his seventh chart-topping album which includes the back-to-back chart toppers “Woman, Amen” and the ACM-award winning hit “Burning Man” (feat. Brothers Osborne). Known to deliver “the most thoughtful, complete collections in Country music” (USA Today) Bentley has amassed countless nominations from the ACMs, CMAs, Billboard Music Awards and more while also earning 14 GRAMMY nominations. Bentley’s endeavors outside of the music industry include his four Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row locations, including Nashville’s lower Broadway, and his partnership with Flag & Anthem to create an exclusive lifestyle collection, Desert Son. “Fans get an all-night sing-along party” (Fresno Bee) during Bentley’s 2019 BURNING MAN TOUR as his “stage presence is something to marvel at” (Spokesman Review). The second leg featuring special guests Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes and the Hot Country Knights kicks off in Noblesville, IN on May 31st. For more information visit http://www.dierks.com.
Tyler Childers has emerged as one of 2019’s most-anticipated artists to watch. Following the release of his universally acclaimed debut album, Purgatory (produced by Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson), the Lawrence County, KY native has performed over 130 sold-out headline shows across the country including three nights at Louisville’s Louisville Palace (7500 tickets), two nights at Austin’s Stubbs (5000 tickets), Fort Worth’s Billy Bob’s (5000 tickets) and two nights at Denver’s Ogden Theatre (3200 tickets). Featured on NPR Music’s esteemed Tiny Desk Concert series and recently named Emerging Artist of the Year by the Americana Music Association, Rolling Stone calls Childers, “…a songwriter of the highest caliber, he can write just as potently about love and passion as he does disappointment and despair,” while Pitchfork declares, “…it’s his voice, peppered with both the knowledge of the ages and the innocence of youth, that makes a song…so effective. Then it’s the lyrics, a mix of plain-talk honesty and beguiling metaphors, that tip the scales to timeless.” Childers will continue his extensive tour through this summer featuring several dates with Robert Earl Keen as well as several festival stops including Shaky Knees, Forecastle Music Festival, Pickathon, Railbird Festival and John Prine’s inaugural “All The Best Fest.”
A nine-time GRAMMY AWARD recipient, Sheryl Crow is an American music icon. Her nine studio albums have sold 35 million copies worldwide; seven of them charted in the Top 10 and five were certified for Multi-Platinum sales. In addition to such No. 1 hits as “All I Wanna Do,” “Soak Up the Sun” and “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” Crow has lofted 40 singles into the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40 and Hot Country Songs charts, with more No. 1 singles in the Triple A listings than any other female artist. Many artists have collaborated with her on special projects, including the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Smokey Robinson and Tony Bennett. She is known as well for her passionate support of multiple charities, including City Of Hope, Stand Up To Cancer, The World Food Program, Feeding America, ADOPT A CLASSROOM, the TJ Martell Foundation, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, MusiCares, the Special Olympics and many other worthy causes. In the course of his long, full career, Steve Miller has sold tens of millions of records and his music has been streamed well over 2 billion times. In the late ‘60s, Miller was a mainstay of the San Francisco music scene that upended American culture with albums like Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World. In the ‘70s, Miller dominated radio in a way that few artists have ever managed. Hit followed hit in what seemed like an endless flow: “The Joker,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner” and “Jungle Love,” among them. On his successful tours with the Steve Miller Band, he complements the commercial peaks of his extensive catalogue with lesser-known songs that expand his fans’ awareness of the range of his work. As a member of the Board of Directors at Jazz at Lincoln Center, he has curated and headlined shows that explore themes like the bridge from blues to jazz in the music of guitar great T-Bone Walker. He is also a member of the visiting committee of the Department of Musical Instruments at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Five of his guitars will be displayed in “Play It Loud: The Instruments of Rock and Roll,” a groundbreaking exhibition at the Met that will run from April 8 through October 1 of this year.
