Marty Stuart’s 19th “Late Night Jam,” the annual concert during CMA’s Music Festival at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns. Additionally, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives have postponed dates throughout the spring. Said Stuart: “The safety and health of our fans and crew are our top priorities. Please hold on to your tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled show, which we hope to announce soon, but if you are not able to attend, refunds will be available at point of purchase. Tonight, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives will appear on PBS’s “The Kate” a live music series from CPTV featuring performances and interviews. The episode will be available online beginning Monday, April 6th at 8pm ET on thekate.tv.
Marty Stuart has released his celebrated record, The Pilgrim- Deluxe Edition, for the first time ever on vinyl via MCA Nashville/UMG Nashville/UME. This special 20th anniversary release is issued on double vinyl and includes a bonus CD with ten never before released tracks, available only with the purchase of the Pilgrim vinyl. These newly unearthed songs include features by Country music legends including Ralph Stanley, Connie Smith, Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, and more. The Pilgrim- Deluxe Edition is available for order via UMG Nashville or via Marty Stuart’s website. Stuart also released a lushly illustrated coffee-table book, The Pilgrim – A Wall-To-Wall Odyssey (Hardcover), to accompany the album that’s about much more than just one landmark album. It’s about art, discovery, artistic integrity, and a vision that set Marty Stuart on a new path. Also included with the book is a CD of the original album and unreleased bonus material. Marty Stuart is a five-time GRAMMY-winner, platinum recording artist, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from the Americana Music Association, Grand Ole Opry star, country music archivist, photographer, musician, and songwriter. Since starting out singing gospel as a child, Stuart has spent over four decades celebrating American roots music. His teenage years on tour with bluegrass legend Lester Flatt in the ’70s were followed by six years in Johnny Cash’s band in the ’80s, and a chart-topping tenure as a solo artist in the ’90s. Stuart hosts a Late Night Jam at The Ryman, a yearly tradition which kicks off the CMA Music Festival, with recent guests including Dolly Parton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Neko Case, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris, Dan Auerbach and many more.
