NASHVILLE, TN. – Rising Singer-songwriter Matt Jordan seamlessly blends his influences of Pop/Rock greats with his love of modern Country artists on new single, ‘For A Minute.’ With Grammy nominated producer, Sal Oliveri (P!nk, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow) at the helm, the track (co-penned with Kenny Johnson) premiered exclusively on The Boot. Described by The Boot as “a hint of Tom Petty in the melody, and a bit of Bruce Springsteen in Jordan’s vaguely raspy vocals,” ‘For A Minute’ is available digitally wherever you consume music.
Matt tells The Boot: “I’ve always been pretty restless – always looking forward to the next thing, never fully appreciating the moment I’m in until it’s over. It’s happened in every season of my life. ‘For a Minute’ is a realization of that, looking back at various points in time where me and whoever I was with were making memories that we’d look back on fondly, but we had no idea that’s what was happening. That’s what this song is. Just reminiscing on a more simple, more innocent time that I know I’ll never have again.”
In celebration of the release, Matt took over The Country Note’s Instagram earlier this week. Additionally, the new track is featured on ACM’s The Hub New Music Friday playlist and will be BBC Radio 2’s Single Of The Week on Chris Country powered by CountryLine next week.
The release is a follow-up to “Outskirts Of Grace,” which was described by Sounds Like Nashville as a “heavenly track” and “redemptive standout” that “puts Jordan’s commanding sandpaper vocal at the pulpit and backs it with a soul-stirring blast of gospel rock, adding up to a transformative anthem.”
