The tune celebrates the diversity of “The Peach State” highlighting some of Georgia’s most well known musicians, famous food dishes, the diverse landscape and of course the deep running devotion to the University of Georgia’s football team, the Georgia Bulldogs. “Man I feel blessed by God to call this place my home. Life is like an Otis Redding or Alan Jackson song. I don’t need reminding when I cross that state line ’cause no matter where I am Georgia’s on my mind,” sings Rogers.
The anticipated single is the first release since Matt’s 2017 EP Richest Place On Earth which garnered praise from fans and music critics alike. The title track received the DisCovery Award from music industry tastemaker Robert K. Oermann. Oermann complimented the song saying it was, “extremely well written and sung with fire and conviction.” The tune also recently won a Music City SongStar Award along with his previous single, “Britches.”
