Nashville, Tenn., – Wide Open Music’s singer/songwriter Matt Stell released his debut EP, Last of The Best, just three weeks ago and immediately one song from the six-song EP, “Prayed for You,” jumped out to fans gaining over 10k streams daily. The increasing streams got the attention from Spotify playlist editors and was quickly added to its “New Boots” playlist. With close to 500k followers, Stell’s new song has reached over 210K streams to date and growing. Listen HERE.
“Prayed for You,” co-penned by Stell, Ash Bowers and Allison Veltz, was recently reviewed by the The Country Note describing it as a “beautiful song”. The review goes on to explain that “Stell’s vocals are warm and hopeful, bringing a depth and sincerity to the lyrics.” Those meaningful lyrics, (on the heart break trail/when all hope failed/ on a highway to hell/ I prayed for you/ but I kept my faith like the old King James says I’m suppose to/ It’s hard to imagine/ bigger than I could fathom/ I didn’t know you from Adam/ but I prayed for you,) and its growing popularity has prompted Stell to release an official acoustic video to fans.
