Nashville, Tenn. — Country music’s Michelle Wright has signed with Buddy Lee Attractions (BLA) for exclusive live concert bookings.
“I’m really excited to join the roster at Buddy Lee Attractions and after spending some time getting to know the team, this is going to be fun,” says Wright. “I am thankful for the opportunity that this presents for me to continue to do what I love, which is playing music, traveling the road, seeing old friends and making new ones.”
In the modern era of country music, Wright is the first Canadian‐born artist to score a Top Ten hit in America with her breakthrough Arista Records Nashville release, “Take It Like A Man,” a #1 video on CMT (also for “Take It Like A Man”) and to win a major U.S. music industry award (the Academy of Country Music Top New Female Artist award in 1993). The string of fan favorite songs that followed included “He Would Be Sixteen,” “Guitar Talk,” “Nobody’s Girl,” “Shut Up And Kiss Me,” and “Strong” amassing a total of twenty‐five Top Ten radio hits and more than 40 major awards. In September 2011, Wright was honored with induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
