Debut Album Evergreen Out September 28th
“For Fans Of: Whiskeytown-era Ryan Adams, early Wilco, the acoustic side of Rhett Miller and the Old 97’s.”
–Rolling Stone
“Guitarist Graham Young and bassist Adam Reed fleshed out the sound of their folky LA by-way-of-Michigan band with the addition of keys player Christian Wilder – the result is riveting rock &
roll with a country edge. It’s a musical rebirth of sorts for the Rattlers, who continue to make their bones with their intense live show.”
– Rolling Stone
“Keep an eye on these guys!”
– GRAMMY.com

-Glide Magazine
New York, NY – Americana band, Michigan Rattlers, are thrilled to release the title single “Evergreen,” via Glide – PRESS HERE to listen. Glide praises their keen ability for storytelling, saying,
“Michigan Rattlers might come off as your next of kin White Stripes, however, they offer a songwriting flair and down-home sincerity typically reserved for the Prines, Hiatts and Yoakam’s of the world.”
The introspective song showcases this flair and gives listeners a taste of what’s to come on their forthcoming album Evergreen, out September 28th.
The band has just kicked off a 25-stop tour in support of the album, with a series of four album release shows in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and Detroit. Full routing info is below and tickets are available now – PRESS HERE to purchase. The band previously released “Just Good Night” and “Didn’t You Know,” the first singles from Evergreen – PRESS HERE to listen.
Lifelong friends and deep-north natives, Michigan Rattlers play heavy-hearted Americana folk-rock with an aching dose of Midwestern nice. Graham Young (guitar), Adam Reed (upright bass), and Christian Wilder (piano) began writing music and performing together in their Northern Michigan high school.
Their self-titled Michigan Rattlers EP attracted glowing reviews from No Depression, Bluegrass Situation, Relix, Billboard, The Boot and Rolling Stone, who named the band one of their “Ten New Country Artists You Need To Know” in 2016. They spent the rest of that year and much of the next touring in support of this release. In September 2017, Pianist Christian Wilder was added to the band’s lineup. Now a trio, the group headed into the studio to record their newest EP, Wasting the Meaning. Comprised of three cover songs, the project was conceived as a way to explore deeper into the recording process and pay homage to some of their favorite songwriters – HAIM, Leonard Cohen and Tom Petty.
