Newest EP in Honky Tonk Confessions Series
“Listen To Honky Tonk Confessions Chapter Three” Here
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country artist and songwriter Mickey Lamantia is back with the 3rd installment of his Honky Tonk Confessions EP series. “Honky Tonk Confessions Chapter Three” contains 6 new songs, all unapologetically country in the tradition of his heroes Randy Travis and Jamey Johnson.
Described as “Country Music’s Most Law Abiding Outlaw” by The Boston Globe, Lamantia is also a corrections officer at a Rhode Island maximum-security prison.
Chapter Three includes the lead track “Boy In the Water” co-written by fellow Rhode Island native Joe Doyle, who’s written songs for Alabama, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan. The songs poignant chorus recall a simpler time and place, staying true to the style of traditional country greats.
There’s a boy down in the water staring up at me
In a Brooklyn Dodgers baseball cap and Osh Kosh dungarees
A Sears and Roebuck rod and reel, a tin can tackle box
With eagle eyes waiting on his bobber to drop
Might be an old man on the bank by the river
But there’s a boy down in the water
The EP was produced once again by veteran producer Bill McDermott, and work has already begun on Chapter Four with veteran producer Buddy Cannon (Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Kenny Chesney, Reba) co-producing tracks along with McDermott.
