“I hope people feel empowered to be themselves when they hear this song,” Exclaimed Mira Goto! “When you’re feeling down, put it on, turn it up, dance in your bedroom, and sing into your hairbrush at the top of your lungs!! And remember you are beautiful just the way you are.”
“… I tried to be the girl in the movies,
On the cover of a magazine
I tried to be the girl that they tried to tell me
‘This is how a girl should be’
I ain’t no good at being anybody else
No good, no good at being anybody else
I might as well just be myself
Cause I ain’t no good at being anybody else
So good, so good, so good
So good, so good, so good…”
“Anybody Else” is a celebration of being true to yourself. When Mira met with her co-writers, Michael and Simon, to write that morning, it was a time when she was feeling a bit down on herself, and needed a pep talk. Sometimes, we all need that reminder that it’s okay to just be ourselves, as beautiful and flawed as we all can be.

Mira Goto is definitely a performer to watch. She is not new to the business and is going places with her “diet country” music. While this pandemic has put a damper on many artists from performing, Mira and her husband, Anthony, have been doing mini concerts for special occasions from the back of their pickup truck. How ingenious is that. There’s no holding this girl back.
