NEW SINGLE “WHISKEY GLASSES” AMONG MOST ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO
SET FOR CMA FEST DEBUT PERFORMANCE (8/8)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Big Loud Records rising star MORGAN WALLEN will join labelmate Jake Owen’s LIFE’S WHATCHA MAKE IT TOUR 2018, alongside special guest David Lee Murphy, beginning October 4 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Earning a reputation as one of Country’s most exciting new performers, the kinetic talent has been receiving rave reviews in his opening stint on Luke Bryan’s WHAT MAKES YOU COUNTRY TOUR. He “got the party started” (Orange County Register) as part of the first Country bill to ever perform inside L.A.’s Dodger Stadium, “warmed up the crowd without breaking a sweat” (Live in Limbo) at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, and “had the crowd with him every step of the way” (Digital Journal) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, proving why he’s “country music’s newest superstar” (NKD Magazine).
Fresh off the success of his #1 smash hit “Up Down,” dubbed “the song of summer 2018” by Taste of Country, Wallen’s anticipated follow-up “Whiskey Glasses” was among last week’s most added singles at Country radio with 30 first week stations on board. Earlier this year he performed the “addictive” (CMchat) track with “charm and resolve” (Rolling Stone Country) on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “Up Down” and “Whiskey Glasses” are featured on Wallen’s celebrated debut album IF I KNOW ME, available now at all digital retailers.
Meanwhile, he’s set to make his CMA Fest debut, joining his “Up Down” collaborators: MULTI-PLATINUM duo Florida Georgia Line. The concert television special airs Wednesday (8/8) on ABC.
Next up, Wallen will open for FGL at Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown, OH Saturday (8/11), bookended by headlining performances at Jeter Farms in Buchanan, VA (8/10) and the Washington County Fair in Richmond, RI (8/15).
