MUSIC CITY HIT-MAKERS PARTNERS WITH BMI TO ADD EMERGING SONGWRITER OPENERS
FOR SONGWRITERS UNDER THE STARS AT CHEEKWOOD THIS WEEKEND

Nashville, TN – Music City Hit-Makers (MCHM) and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) are excited to announce the addition of six emerging writers as openers for this weekend’s Songwriters Under The Stars at Cheekwood’s Swan Lake. Dedication to a new generation of songwriters is at the core of both BMI and MCHM and they are thrilled to offer this incredible opportunity for great new writers to join superstar hitmakers Marcus Hummon, Jessi Alexander, Kyle Jacobs, Rivers Rutherford, Chris DeStefano and Hillary Lindsey. The in-the-round setup backed by a symphony is just icing on the cake.
“We are so excited to have these great emerging songwriters join our annual Songwriters Under The Stars this weekend,” says producer Charles Dixon. “We’ve always been very passionate about supporting the new generation of hit-makers and this is the perfect way to include them in our show.”

Each night’s opening round features a curated selection of BMI’s most promising rising hitmakers. The up-and-coming songwriters are ones-to-watch on Music Row and have already written for chart-topping artists including Tyler Farr and Maren Morris. Fridaynight’s round will feature Michael Hardy, Brinley Addington and Brett Tyler with performances by Trannie Stevens, Joseph Patton and Adam James on Saturday night.
