Musicians On Call Teams Up With Radio Disney To Bring The Healing Power of Music To Patients at City of Hope

Alex Aiono and Temecula Road, Who Are Featured On The Epic New Track Entitled “The Human Race,”
Performed For Patients At City of Hope

Musicians On Call (MOC), a groundbreaking nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in hospitals across the country, teamed up with Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country on Thursday (12/8) to bring the healing power of music to patients at City of Hope in Los Angeles. With the help of one of Radio Disney’s biggest stars Alex Aiono and country music newcomers Temecula Road patients, families and caregivers at City of Hope were treated to a lobby performance as well as MOC’s Bedside Performance Program. The visit, presented by Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country, and sponsored by the Jason Pollack Bedside Performance Program, City National Bank and Genentech was in celebration of Musicians On Call’s Half A Million Moments campaign, the milestone of performing for 500,000 patients, families and caregivers across the country.

Both artists are featured on the epic new track entitled “The Human Race” that also features longtime MOC supporter Kelsea Ballerini, Scotty McCreery, Lindsay Ell, LoCash, Tegan Marie and more. Fans can purchase single on iTunes, with some of the proceeds going to benefit MOC.

“We were thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event with Musicians on Call and lend our support to the City of Hope. We hope that the heartfelt performances by Temecula Road and Alex Aiono will help brighten and share the joy of the holiday season with these special kids.” Phil Guerini, Vice President, Music Strategy, Disney Channels Worldwide and General Manager, Radio Disney Network.

“Musicians On Call is proud to partner with Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country to deliver the healing power of music to patients at City of Hope,” said Pete Griffin, President of Musicians On Call. “With their support and the support of our sponsors and volunteers, we can bring more music to the bedsides of patients in Los Angeles.”

MOC is currently celebrating their year long campaign, Half A Million Moments. The campaign’s goal is thank the champions that helped MOC reach the milestone, asking volunteers and supporters to share their stories of their favorite moment bringing music to hospitals using #MOCMoments, and to raise funds and support to help MOC serve the next half a million people.
