Known as Nashville Access: The Pie Wagon Sessions, the series aired “live” on the Nashville Access Facebook page on Thursday mornings at 10 and 10:30 Central. On the following Mondays, the show would then move over to Nashville Access TV on Youtube.
In recent months, the audio from those shows has become the basis for the Nashville Access Podcast—available on iTunes, GooglePlay, and Stitcher.
Now, “The Pie Wagon Sessions” have become a victim of their own success. Nashville Access’s Camo explains, “when we started The Pie Wagon Sessions, The Pie Wagon seemed like a cool place to do the sessions. The restaurant is on Music Row, has some great history, a great staff, and going live mid-morning meant that the restaurant had ambiance—but was still quiet enough for an interview. The problem is that we’ve become so popular that we can’t continue there because our ambiance has become so loud! We’re a victim of our own success! I guess there are worse problems to have…”. The show has featured guests including: Colt Ford, Jon Wolfe, Catherine Jones, as well as several independent, rising artists.
Starting this Thursday, November 16th, Nashville Access’s live sessions will have a new home: MV2 Entertainment on Nashville’s famed Music Row. Nashville Access: The MV2 Sessions will launch this Thursday. Camo will be joined by guests Brandon Jenkins at 10am; and Leanne Pearson at 10:30am.
“We’re really looking forward to working with MV2 Entertainment,” says Camo. “We got better acquainted with them, first through their work with Terry McBride, and then during the summer we did a MV2-uesday with them. We love their energy and the way they approach the music business. They have some great writers that we’ll be featuring on upcoming editions!”
Tony Harrell, General Manager of MV2 Entertainment says, “we’re excited to work with Nashville Access. The Nashville Access MV2 Sessions will give us a chance to show off our talent, as well as our facilities—and give a better chance to get acquainted with artists that will come through our doors.”
