Nashville Songwriter Awards Announces Addition Of Kip Moore, Jewel, and Darius Rucker To Inaugural Event

Nashville, Tennessee –  With less than a month until the inaugural Nashville Songwriter Awards presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and City National Bank, the list of performers continues to grow! Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter KIP MOORE, Grammy award winner DARIUS RUCKER, and 4x Grammy nominated and Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter JEWEL are set to take the stage, joining an already-impressive list of artists participating in the evening dedicated to songwriters. Previously announced artists include: Blake SheltonThomas RhettJamey Johnson, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, Scotty McCreeryBill AndersonChris JansonLANCO, and Brantley Gilbert.

Awards recognized throughout the evening will include Song, Songwriter, and Songwriter-Artist of the Year as well as the coveted “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” awards. Country legend Bill Anderson will receive the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award and two outstanding supporters of the songwriting community will also be recognized, as Cary Sherman, Chairman and CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), receives the Stephen Foster Award in honor of his generous support for, and dedication to, songwriters, the music industry, and NSAI, and Congressman Doug Collins will be honored with the NSAI White Hat Award, given by the NSAI Board of Directors to any individual from the public/political sector who has significantly served the interests of the songwriting community and is therefore recognized as “one of the good guys” (who wear white hats).
