NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sunday night (11/9), Nashville executives, artists, creators and culinary icons joined together for the 6th annual ‘St. Jude Presents: Curated,’ raising over $2.6 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a significant increase from last year’s grand total of $1.8 million. The intimate evening welcomed 100 guests to the farm of country music artist and songwriter ERNEST and his wife Delaney, where branches gathered from the property set the tone for warm, autumn-inspired décor. The small guest list created a family-like atmosphere that amplified the spirit of generosity, all in support of the St. Jude mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Belmont Bluegrass, a local group of Belmont students, kicked off the night with a set during cocktail hour. Co-chair Charles Kelley then encouraged artist attendees to perform a song, creating an off-the-cuff musical set featuring ERNEST, Dave Haywood, Ellie and Drew Holcomb, Karen Fairchild, Jessie James Decker, Stephanie Chapman, HARDY, Marcus King and Jordan Davis. Between songs, B.J, mother of 12-year-old St. Jude patient Crosslyn, also joined the stage to share her family’s journey and Crosslyn’s positive outlook, thanking the guests for their support.
The four-course menu was curated and prepared by Executive Chef Cassidee Dabney from Blackberry Farm. Guests enjoyed their award-winning upscale cuisine while participating in a live auction that featured standout items like a barrel of Weller Special Antique 107, a Chicago trip curated by Burberry, a spring dinner party at the home of legendary broadcaster Jim Nantz and the top item of the evening, artwork by acclaimed contemporary artist Mr. Brainwash, which sold for $150,000.
Donations from this event will help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Since opening more than 60 years ago, St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent in the United States and won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
