NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sony Music Nashville’s latest signing, Nate Smith, released his new song “I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” today. Listen HERE and watch the lyric video HERE.
Written by Nate and Daniel Fernandez, “I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” went viral on TikTok after he first posted a clip of it in September. Since then, the song has amassed over 3.5 million views, 550k likes, and 30k fan video creations on the platform.
“I couldn’t be more excited for this song to come out,” Nate said. “I feel like it will reach people in many different ways, and at the end of the day that’s all I really want!”
“I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” follows the singer’s poignant new track “Raised Up,” which he debuted earlier this month. Upon its release, MusicRow named Nate the DISCovery Award winner of the week, labeling him as “promising in the extreme,” while Billboard lauded the song’s “righteously hooky chorus” and his “gravelly vocal vibrato that surges with urgency.”
