Country-Pop Singer To Release Debut EP July 13th
Nashville, TN- New York’s own emerging artist Carolyn Miller is gearing up for the release of her debut EP Unbreakable, which is available for pre-order now. Dropping independently on July 13, Unbreakable features five songs with soaring vocals, including the title track which will immediately be available for fans who pre-order the collection. A graduate of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, Miller has been performing on stage and screen professionally since the age of eight. She expanded her focus just a year ago to work on singing her own music, being influenced by artists such as Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson and Adele.
Despite growing up on Long Island where country music was not the main station being played, the NYC based singer explains, “I was always attracted to the genre because of the storytelling, the weight of the lyrics and melody, along with the authenticity of the performers and vulnerability the songs displayed. You’re taught to be truthful in acting, so it felt very natural to express my truth on a stage through country music.”
Miller is excited to not only make her unique mark on country music, but also to simply be playing herself. “I feel like everything has led me to this moment; all the years singing on stage, being behind the mic recording voice overs, acting in musicals, going on countless auditions, being told yes, being told no, learning strong work ethic and discipline from juggling school with a career as a kid; these all added fuel to this fire and were my stepping stones preparing me for what’s to come.”
Miller, who spends time each month in Nashville, is also performing at select shows through the summer including an EP release show at the Cutting Room in New York on August 11th.
