NASHVILLE, Tenn. – RCA Nashville hit maker Niko Moon virtually visited with Notes for Notes participating students recently for a remote songwriting and production info session.
Moon played the students work tape demos of unreleased music to give them an in-depth, behind-the-curtain look at his production and songwriting process. The students also shared with Moon their own demos for original compositions they are creating utilizing Notes for Notes programs and resources.
Notes for Notes builds, equips, and staffs after-school recording studios that offer youth completely free access to explore, create, and record music. The organization created N4N Digital to meet the needs of now, and the future of music education and production, as the pandemic has reduced the capacities or resulted in temporary closures of the 24 nationwide studios. This new digital arm focuses on programming, producing original music, and education on the process, skills and careers involved. N4N Digital also provides crucial opportunities for connection during these times of isolation as well as allowing new youth, artists and industry professionals to get involved who might previously been able to due to proximity to a studio.
Meanwhile, Moon’s Gold-certified, Top 20 debut single “GOOD TIME” continues to climb at country radio and has earned more than 118 million on-demand streams. The rising star – who is currently nominated for CRS New Faces showcase – continues to blaze a unique path in the genre with his “clever wordplay supplemented by ear-grabbing beats” (Billboard). A five-time No. 1 songwriter, Moon has co-writing credits on Dierks Bentley’s new single “Gone” as well as “More Surprised Than Me” from Morgan Wallen’s upcoming double album Dangerous.
