The tune, which impacted Country radio last week, is off to a strong start having spent four weeks on Spotify’s Viral 50-USA chart, as it makes waves on Pandora’s New Country Station as the No. 1 top-spinning song for five of the last six weeks, as well as No. 5 Top Thumbed for several weeks. Found on their new album For You, “Take My Name,” which is “essentially a musical marriage proposal” (The Boot), became an early fan favorite on TikTok before its release—with fans clamoring to designate it as their wedding song. Backed by a catchy hook, the tune, written by frontman Matt Thomas, along with Ashley Gorley (who has garnered over 50 No. 1 songs at Country radio), producer David Fanning, and Track45 member Ben Johnson, shows off the band’s Country foundation and Pop flair.
