NASHVILLE, TENN.— Independent urban country artist and songwriter, Paulina Jayne, released a short film intertwined with a live performance of her original song, “First and Fallin’.” The seven minute true story reveals how the song was born without any dialogue, aside from the bittersweet lyric. Paulina posted a series of cliff-hanger teasers, garnering thousands of views in anticipation of the full short film. Viewers were left with one ultimate question at the end of the video. Paulina says, “only I know how my version of this story ended. I wanted the viewers to choose how theirs would.”
An ode to Valentine’s Day, the silver lining message of ‘First and Fallin’ is nothing good should ever be left unsaid, no matter the response, no matter the outcome.
Annelise Loughead directed, filmed and edited ‘First and Fallin’, bringing Paulina’s vision to life with team members Devin Garrett (co-director of photography and editor), Tess Davies (production/Girl King Co.) and Mackenzie Loughead (wardrobe stylist).
