NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Excitement continues to build as performers are announced for the Second Annual Innovation in Music Awards to be held Sunday, June 3 at the Westin Hotel in Nashville. Lucie Silvas, Striking Matches and Charlie Worsham are set to perform at the gala to honor some of the music industry’s brightest risk takers and creative thinkers. The evening’s festivities for honorees and ticket holders begin at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a 6 p.m. dinner and 7 p.m. awards ceremony. Event organizers also have some special surprises planned including a can’t-miss performance by one of today’s biggest country music acts.

The evening will also feature a key note address from David Macias, inaugural Innovation in Music, Executive Award winner. Grammy Award-winning producer Macias co-founded Thirty Tigers, a Nashville based entertainment company, in 2002 with Deb Markland. In just over a decade, the company has gone from two employees working out of Macias’ guest bedroom to thirty employees, most of whom work out their office in the Wedgewood-Houston area of Nashville, Tennessee. Thirty Tigers also has offices in Los Angeles, New York, North Carolina and London.

The event will be hosted by respected industry veteran and media executive Bill Werde, who is the Director of the Bandier Music Industry Program in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. The highly-anticipated event was created to recognize achievements in the advancement of music through inspiration and ingenuity.

“The IMA has a simple and steadfast mission of finding and exulting innovation wherever it’s happening in our industry; Charlie, Lucie, and Striking Matches shine with the cutting edge of innovative performance,” said IMA Executive Producer and co-founder, John Ettinger. “David Macias has become one of Nashville’s most compelling characters, with a sense of imagination for what can be accomplished outside the normal path. I cannot wait to hear his angles on innovation.”

The IMA ceremony will feature musical performances in addition to award presentations and moments celebrating the honorees. Presenters at this year’s IMA gala will include iHeartMedia’s award-winning nationally syndicated radio host, Bobby Bones, President of Opry Entertainment Group, Steve Buchanan and Charles Kelley of the multi-Platinum trio, Lady Antebellum.
