Nashville, Tenn – Black River recording artist and Purple Heart recipient Scotty Hasting will honor America’s fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend through a series of national appearances, including performances at the Grand Ole Opry’s Salute the Troops, the National Memorial Day Concert on PBS, and a live appearance in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.
“It is an absolute honor to perform at events that mean so much to me personally,” said Hasting. “As a Veteran, Memorial Day holds a special place in my heart, and I’m humbled to use my music to pay tribute to the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
This weekend, Hasting travels to the nation’s capital for two nationally broadcast events:

While the Grand Ole Opry is celebrating their 100 years of music, the Army is celebrating 250 years of service, and on May 20th they joined forces for their annual tradition to Salute The Troops. Featuring the 100th Army Band’s exciting Opry debut, and performances by Opry member, Army Veteran and current Army Reserve soldier, Craig Morgan, Veterans Scotty Hasting and Tony Jackson, along with Rhonda Vincent, and more.
Thankful to be back on the iconic stage of the Grand Ole Opry, Hasting took to Instagram to commemorate the memorable evening honoring our nation’s servicemen and women.
