After going viral on TikTok with her latest single “Glory Daze”, singer-songwriter, Rachel McIntyre Smith, is building on that momentum with her boot stompin’ single “Miss Highfalutin” out August 5. This is the second single leading up to Smith’s debut EP Glory Daze which will be released on September 30th. With her lyrically driven songs, Smith’s comfort twang music reminds listeners of the classics while also adding a relevant and fresh perspective.

“When I moved out of my hometown of Oliver Springs, TN for college, I noticed a trend amongst people who had also moved away from our hometown. Once they got a taste of the city life, they started talking down about our home. I started jotting down little snippy one liners in my phone that I wanted to tell those people such as “we don’t care what path you took- we all unfriended you on Facebook” and “I hope you find your happy place and I hope that’s far away from my face”. I strung all those one liners together and it became this song” says Smith.
