When you think of the best vocals around in country music today, there is no doubt that Randy Houser is high up on that list. The power and warmth of his voice adds depth and emotion to whatever song he’s singing, and even more so when its material that is personal. This past January the Mississippi native released his fifth studio album Magnolia, which Houser co-wrote all twelve tracks, to very high acclaim and deservedly so. Houser recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing the album’s lead single “What Whiskey Does” (featuring the ever talented Hillary Lindsey), but it was his appearance on NBC’s Today Show where the raspy baritone revealed his favorite song on the album, “No Stone Unturned.”
Now Houser has paired with Vevo to present a stripped down to the soul version of the track. The simplicity of his voice, guitar and a keyboard is that’s all that’s needed. Watch the video below:
