The Singing Sierran Appearing In Upcoming Major Motion Picture
“The Happy Worker”
NASHVILLE, TN — Singer/songwriter Rich Price has spent a lifetime idolizing America’s best-known cowboys and upholding their legacies through words and music. Now, Rich Price fills the boots of his heroes on the big screen as a singing cowboy in the upcoming major motion picture, “The Happy Worker.”
“This is a dream come true. I watched Roy Rogers and Gene Autry at the movies as a kid and just wanted to be a part of it. It was even better than I hoped, just sitting around singing and visiting with this great cast,” shares Price.
It is not a far stretch for Price who has entertained crowds for decades in his signature cowboy hat and embroidered western suits. Although, it will be his first major motion picture credit. “I wrote this song especially for the movie. It took me about a day once I got on the set of the movie location in Utah, “states Price.
The movie, which is currently filming, will be titled, “The Happy Worker.” It is directed by Duwayne Dunham who is best known for his work on such blockbusters as Twin Peaks, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.
The cast includes Thomas Haden Church of Tombstone, We Bought A Zoo, Heaven is Real and SpiderMan 3 fame. Colm Meaney co-stars, of course known for his roles in Con Air , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Under Siege.
Rich Price’s current single is Cowboy’s Cowboy which he recorded with Nashville’s A-team musicians.. The album by the same name is one of his favorite collections to date. All songs on the album were written by Rich Price. And the collection has earned him first round nominations with the Academy of Western Artists for their 2019 Will Rogers Awards.
